The
Planned Therapeutic Recreation Program
provides recreational activities for youth with
severe emotional or behavioral disorders. A variety
of structured activities are available to enable the
children to interact with their peers, enjoy nature,
learn new skills and improve on skills of daily
living and social skills.
Additionally, the Program provides parents of these
children a short "break" from the stress and burden
of caring for a child or children with an emotional
disorder and allow them to spend time with each
other, run errands, go to a movie or spend time wit
the rest of their children, etc.
Our Goals
To be deeply committed to the provision of a
diverse, flexible and accessible family-focused
Planned Therapeutic Recreation Program that supports
families in their role as primary caregivers to
their child or children with emotional, behavioral
or mental disorders. |
